Welcome!
I opened a private practice in West Seattle in December 2001 after 13 years as a psychiatrist providing medication management and psychotherapy to kids, teens, and adults at a multi-specialty medical center. Previously I served as Lieutenant Commander for 5 years in the US Navy, overseas and stateside, as a staff psychiatrist, addictionologist, and consultant to the Navys domestic violence program at hospitals and local clinics.
My services include diagnostic psychiatric evaluation, medication evaluation, medication management, and/or psychotherapy for those patients with problematic psychiatric and/or substance misuse symptoms and/or disorders.
I work with adults and teens with a range of disorders including ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, Bipolar Disorder, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, patients with chronic pain syndromes which are exacerbated by a psychiatric disorder or vice versa, and patients with an organic component to their psychiatric symptoms or disorders (stroke, dementia, or other cognitive disorders).
I have expertise evaluating and treating health care professionals with psychiatric disorders and/or substance use disorders. I also provide evaluation and treatment to those charged with a DUI and are court-ordered under a deferred for psychiatric reasons to receive psychiatric treatment with or without concurrent chemical dependence treatment.

I believe that for many people, involvement of the family is essential to successful treatment. I also believe that often medication works best when combined with counseling, psychotherapy, or other treatment modalities.
My practice is a "private pay office" which means we do not accept health insurance at this time (nor Medicare, Medicaid, or L&I), ensuring your privacy as per state and federal guidelines. However, I provide an invoice to patients who see me in a private pay capacity, who then request reimbursement from their health insurance plan. My fee structure reflects my training, experience, skills, and the quality of my work in psychiatry and addiction medicine. At this time, I do not provide services to beneficiaries of Medicare or Medicaid.
My waiting time for new appointments is approximately two days to two weeks. I am available to see patients emergently within 24 to 48 hours.
I am looking forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
Daniel E. Wolf, D.O.
